Gaslighting is a widely recognized term to describe the act of undermining someone's perception of reality and inducing self-doubt through manipulative behaviors.

It all begins with collecting information about their victims. The more they know about their potential victim the more they can control their lives.

In a few relationships like a romantic relationships, this phase is followed by something called love bombing where the abuser showers love and care on the victim

The next step is to create situations such that the victim believes them more than they believe themselves.

Then comes creating a fantasy world. The gaslighter will give false informations and the victim will create a world in their mind where only what the gaslighter wants , stays.

The next stage is to incapacitate the victim and make them dependent on the gaslighter for everything.

The gaslighter may also include other people in supporting their narrative and create further and absolute control on the victim's mind.
